Untitled Story~

- Chapter One -

Puhaaaaa~

A certain dark violet haired girl walked around the city. Looking for something, anything, to entertain her or help her pass the time. She was wearing her school uniform as if she skipped school, which probably what she did.

“I skipped school since there wasn’t anything to do, just lectures, lectures and---“ The vibrating inside her pocket stopped her from continuing her rant, seems like she has a new message. Fishing her phone from her skirt’s pocket, she flipped the device and the new message reminder flashed on the screen. Apparently, it was from her gossip friend, Mayu.

“Oh my gosh!! The new math teacher is so HAAAWWTTT!!

@Aya – Where are you?! You just missed seeing the new hawty’s faaaace and booooody!!

But, no one can replace my silver-haired sweetheart. :P <3

As soon as her amethyst eyes read the last symbol*, she shut the phone close; Mayu and her tall guy fetish. Maybe the new teacher is incredibly tall? Her boyfriend is 180cm and just 17 years old. She’ll meet and judge the hawt math teacher tomorrow. He better be as good in teaching as good-looking they say he is. She loves math, after all.

After deciding on just going to her part-time job early, she journeyed towards the karaoke bar. She was still too early for her shift but her manager told her to just enjoy herself in a vacant room. Unfortunately, there was none and she just went on to start her shift early with her co-worker. Guiding the costumers to the rooms until her shift came and she took over the front desk.

Nothing new~ She expected this day to be different, but like the other days, it was still the same old boring life of Kurosagi Ayami.

Her name was, and last time she checked, still is, Kurosagi Ayami; 17 years of age. A second year, junior, in high school. Long dark violet hair and a pair of amethyst eyes.

Those pair of amethyst eyes caught site of her co-worker coming in through the front door, it was probably his shift now.

“Hey.” Ayami called out.

“Oh, hey. Thanks for the hard work.”

“Haha, thanks,” She chuckled slightly before asking, “Can I book a room?”

He chuckled a bit too then nodded.

“Change first, I’ll reserve one for ya.”

“Thanks.”

Ayami walked in the staff room behind a door in the front desk to the girls’ locker rooms to change to her school uniform once again. After getting her stuff from her respective locker, she exited the staff room only to see her co-worker talking to a customer. She decided to interrupt because of the uneasiness of the two.

“Hey, what’s up?”

He looked back at the dark haired girl and sighed, slightly motioning for the costumer, he whispered, “The guy wants to rent a room, but the only one vacant is your reserved room.”

“Oh, just give him the room. I should be getting home now, anyway.”

“You sure?”

“Yeap~”

He nodded and turned back towards the customer, giving him the directions to where the room is. She, meanwhile, stepped out of the front desk and headed towards the door, waving a hand at her co-worker, but was stopped when she heard the voice of the stranger.

“Hey, thanks.”

Ayami turned slightly to smile at him for a moment, faced the door and walked out. The cold night air bit the dark violet teenager’s arms and legs, Should’ve brought my jacket, at least.

The walk back home was fortunately short and the pair of amethyst eyes closed immediately once hitting the sack, forgetting the stranger’s face and voice once she entered the world of peace.

It was morning; students were filling the once empty classroom since the bell just rang. Ayami sat in her seat at the back of the classroom, beside the window. Homeroom was boring, as usual. She only sat in front if it was English, Math and Music. She chose to just stare outside the window, she always passes, most of the times, tops them, so the teachers don’t mind.

The bell rang, signaling the end of their morning classes and it was time for lunch. The amethyst eyed individual, she was the only one who has those eyes, inborn, exited their classroom before she was bombarded by questions, like, why she cut class yesterday, if she met the new teacher yet and, lastly, if she wanted to eat lunch with them.

She was used to it, being popular, as her peers say. But, sometimes Ayami preferred to be alone in a nice quiet place. Like the place she’s heading to now. Their school is connected to a forest so teachers always remind them to not explore too long for they might get lost.

The dark haired girl walked towards the forest until she saw the familiar clearing, her favorite spot. There was a tree in the middle and as she walked closer, she saw a figure leaning against it. Not stopping her walk, Ayami walked closer to see the same costumer from last night. The one she gave her room to. Deciding to let her presence known, she cleared her throat loud enough for the guy to notice her.

He cracked an eye open, as if making sure he wasn’t hearing things. Once he was sure, he smiled and stood up, letting Ayami, for once, notice their height difference. He was 20cms taller than her! He had the most rare and exotic crimson orbs and raven black hair. His face adorned by a smile as let out his right hand, asking her to shake hands with him.

She shook it after debating with herself for a few seconds. They let go of each other’s hand after a few moments, it was silent until he spoke, “Hoshimi Aoto; 19 years old, teacher.”

Teacher? He might be the one Mayu was talking about. She thought, Ayami bowed, force of habit, a little before she introduced herself, in the same manner. “Kurosagi Ayami; 17 years old, junior. Can I ask you something?”

“You already did, but alright.”

She continued, fighting the urge the roll her eyes, “Aren’t you a little too young to be a teacher?” Ayami sat herself down, a little ways from the guy she just met, to open her bento. She was getting hungrier and from her previous tries, skipping lunch is stupid. Hoshimi-san smiled a little, as if expecting the question, and turned since she was now beside him.

“I explained it yesterday at class, but you weren’t there so,” The look the amethyst eyed junior made the older one pause and chuckle before continuing, “our school sent us to different schools to practice teaching.”

Ayami continued munching on her lunch, humming in response when the young teacher finished explaining. They sat in comfortable silence for a while before Ayami asked another question.

“Aren’t you going to eat, Hoshimi-san?”

“What? No ‘-sensei’?” He made quotation marks to emphasize the honorific before chuckling, Kurosagi-san was certainly amusing him.

“Hm~ Nope. Not yet, at least. I still don’t know if you can teach mathematics well, so no ‘-sensei’ honorific for now.” Aoto chuckled again, she was really someone with a lot of character. He’ll have to know her more now that she piqued his curiosity and interest.

“…My question remains unanswered.”
